Ian Wagner
Principal Architect
Ian founded Wagner Design Studio almost 20 years ago on a simple belief: great architecture should feel like it belongs exactly where it’s built. After more than 30 years in the Yampa Valley, he knows this place — its light, its landscape, its people — and that knowledge shapes every project that comes through the studio. When he’s not in the shop, you’ll find him telemark skiing, out on his mountain bike, or camping with his wife and dogs.
Janey Béen
Architectural Designer
Janey’s approach starts with one question: how do you actually live in your space? She joined WDS in 2022 with a focus on design that’s as functional as it is beautiful — spaces that work for real life. She’s happiest outside skiing, biking, or fishing with her dogs, and that love for the mountain environment finds its way into everything she designs.
Dylan Wilkinson
Architectural Designer
Dylan grew up in Steamboat and travels internationally as often as he can — seeing how different cultures approach space and living has shaped the way he designs. His engineering background means the technical and the creative are always working together in his projects. He joined WDS in 2020 and looks forward to working with you.
About Wagner Design Studio
The Wagner’s have been in the Yampa Valley for 30 years. After meeting in Steamboat they began building their home and raising a family. After a 14 year tenure at the architectural office of Joe Patrick Robbins, Wagner Design Studio was created. Based on close relationships with local builders WDS has flourished and expanded. With strong ties to the community and family Wagner Design Studio has been providing architectural services for out of town and local clients alike.
